Please join us in welcoming liz suk into her new role as our Interim Executive Director. liz joined the Oakland Rising team in 2018 first overseeing our leadership development program, and most recently as Political Director for the past year.
For over 25 years, liz has built her career at non-profit and grassroots organizations in the Bay Area. liz suk grew up in the Bay Area with roots in Deep East Oakland. As a parent of two public school children in Oakland, she is committed to racial, economic, environmental justice for Indigenous, Black and Brown communities.
liz brings a micro to global lens in her coordination, strategy, and politics. She leans into her strong integrative approach to building the internal organizational systems and looking at creative ways to break down work silos and create leaner and more flexible workflows.
