On Tuesday, November 4, 2014 Oakland voters will receive a ballot with candidate races, statewide propositions, and local ballot measures. Voters should expect a long ballot, but there is no need to wonder what the impacts of these pieces of legislation will be for low-income, immigrant and votes of color in Oakland. Oakland Rising’s staff, board, and strategy committee have worked diligently to produce a thoughtful, clear, and helpful voter guide for progressive voters in Oakland who want to know how to vote and why it matters to our communities.
