Movement Tech Graduation

The Movement Technology Fellows completed the first year of the program with a Graduation and Presentation ceremony on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Fellows started the program in April and working in collaboration with each other, their mentors, and counterparts at their home organizations, learned a series of new technical skills and developed organization specific tech solutions.

Lulu and Luri, fellows from our partner organization Mujeres Unidas y Activas, presented on their custom-created application to make processes more efficient, to record new members quickly, and to be able to report to funders, and keep their data organized and digitized.

Fellows from CURYJ (Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice), Daniel and Ikon, presented on a series of projects they designed, developed, and implemented over the course of the last 8 months at the Fellowship.

Oakland Rising's fellow, Nemo, presented on his project which digitalized the information intake process for our field fundraising program. The tools he created not only made our systems more efficient, but is saving a significant amount of money in the process.

The Fellows were recognized by their mentors, Devlabs Co-Director, Oakland Rising Executive Director, colleagues, friends, and family as having completed a very significant skill building program, having designed and developed game-changing projects, and empowered them on their next phase of becoming tech leaders at their home organizations.

Congratulations to our 2018 Tech Fellows!
