Next week, Oakland Rising will celebrate 5 years of working in low-income, immigrant and communities of color to ensure that our voices are heard at City hall and at the ballot box. Together, we have identified 47,000 voters in Oakland who support our agenda to build stronger community, share public dollars fairly, strengthen economic opportunity, and ensure health and safety in Oakland and beyond. Every year we host the Young Progressives Party and Townie Awards to raise critical funds to support our on-going civic engagement work.
